Tech Tip: Luck Graphic

As my four years at OU come to an end, I found this to be the most relatable quote. Through my years, I have worker harder than even before and, although others may think it was all luck, I am proud of my accomplishments and am ready to take on anything that comes my way!

Tech Tip: Graduation Graphic

With graduation around the corner, I felt as though this was the perfect quote. Even though my time at OU is coming to an end, it's only the beginning of my next journey. Often times, we dwell on the past, but I am excited for my next journey!

Tech Tip: Championship Quote

Last week, I went to the OU Men's Gymnastics National Championship meet in Chicago. Because of that, I feel it's only right to include them in my Tech Tip this week. They made history and will continue to make history.

Tech Tip: Creating a Quote

I made this using Canva. Canva has been my favorite site to use when making fun graphics like this one.

Tech Tip: Canvas Dashboard

I wish that I would have looked at this tech tip sooner! This was very helpful as most of my courses have HES as the first few figures of the name and I always click on the wrong course. Even though we are nearing the end of the semester, the simple changing of names will save me lots of frustration when I am in the HES building, which has TERRIBLE wifi, and click on the wrong course. 
I also am going to try and make more use out of my sidebar. I feel as though some of my classes don't incorporate all of our assignments in the course calendar.

Tech Tip: Text to Voice

This week, I decided to add the Text to Voice widget to my browser. I am a HUGE fan of audio books, so I figured this would be great to try out. One thing I dislike about it is that I still am a Safari user, but I don't mind. I think I should make the switch over to Chrome anyway! I have always had it on my laptop, but only use it for widgets that require it such as this one.

Tech Tip: Word Count

I decided to try the word count tech tip out for this time. I chose that one because I use it for so many classes and always copy and paster my work into word. I feel like this will save me just a tiny bit of time. I sometimes have trouble going over the word count and sometimes am under. I am awful at guess how long my papers are, so this is definitely necessary for me.

Tech Tip: Google Timer

I chose to try out this google timer because I always find myself getting distracted when doing homework on my laptop. This has been very difficult while being in 2 classes that require a semester-long research paper. I always end up somewhere I am not supposed to be like Facebook or Pinterest. 

I am going to pause and use the google timer right now to go and write my story for the week to see if I like the idea and if it helps me stay on task. I am setting the time for 30 minutes, then will take a 10 minute break, and set it for 30 minutes again.

After doing this, I feel as though I saved SO much time. I promised myself not to stray from the pages I was using for school work and, although hard, it worked. I feel as though having a set amount of time really helps me tackle whatever task I need. I will say that I know this will take A LOT of self control to implement on a daily basis, but I am going to give it a shot and see how it goes!

Tech Tip: Canvas Calendar

I decided to take a look at the Canvas calendar tech tip and I am SO glad that I did! I am in capstone this semester and another course that includes a semester-long research project with a group and I am hoping to utilize the Canvas calendar for both. I love that you are able to make a group calendar so that everyone can see when our own due dates are as a group. I am hoping this will help us all manage our time throughout this long process.

Tech Tip: Creating a Quote

I made this using Canva.com. I love using this website for my graphics and never have used it just for a simple quote and it turned out looking very nice and neat. I may try this again next week and make it more exciting!
